Hi

regarding MPC5746R safety. we have 2 question are below. could you please help thanks?

1. Since safety core only include check core and Main core 0 , is there another way to check the correction of Main creo1 ?If the answer is no , does it mean core 1 can’t be used to execute the main function that the function failure could  cause hazard  ?

2. Do peripheral cluster A and B allocate to core 0 and core independently ?

Hi Ted,

Regarding Question 1,

Yes, the Main Core_1 is the boot-up Core and this is the one that comes out of reset after reset is released. The main function can be implemented on this core, but the safety application running on core 0/checker core needs to guarantee the functionality to be safe and reach a safe state when it could cause a hazard.

Regarding Question 2,

Cluster A and Cluster B can be accessed by any core but the prioritization scheme is handled by the Crossbar and the AIPS PBridge.

Thanks,
Sandeep Kumar
