Do you use the i.M8MM EVK board or the board you designed yourself?
If you are using the i.M8MM EVK board reference board, the default usb is type-c port, if you want to use the usb hub you need to use the special line.
If you want to design board yourself, you need to configure the usb to host mode and then connect the hub chip.
It depend on your hardware, the i.MX8MM support usb2.0, so drive needed.
