Hello NXP team,

We have issue with S32k148 RTC Initialization, it is not consistent between power cycles, what we are initially setting is:

S32k148 RTC Init Working.jpg

But sometimes we are seeing this:

On the same device randomly after some power cycles.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Regards, Pratap

Hi@Pratap_Metharamitta

I think the Power Cycle you mentioned refers to switching between RUN mode and low power mode.

For example, if it is RUN mode and VLPS mode, you can check the clock configuration of the RTC.

Usually there are two different clock configurations corresponding to RUN mode and VLPS mode respectively.

When you enter VLPS, the clock in VLPS mode will be switched.

When your MCU wakes up from VLPS mode, you need to switch your clock to RUN mode again

(so, I don't know whether you have re-initialized the clock configuration in RUN mode after waking up.).

These are some of my guesses. You can check whether it may be caused by this problem.

The Power Cycle I have mentioned refers to switching between ARM RESET Mode, RUN Mode, Low Power Mode and No Power (VDD to 0V) Mode. s32k148 sch.jpg
