S32k clock tolerance

Hi

I am using the s32k144 evalboard. I am suing the fast internal clock:FIRC

I generated a PWM signal based on FIRC, which is supposed to be 16 Mhz, however it is only 15.6. This gives me more than 2.5 % difference/tolerance.

According to:

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/S32K-DS.pdf

Table 19.   Fast internal RC Oscillator electrical specifications

There should be only 1%. How comes?

Hi,

It can be a measurement error. I recommend you set PWM with a long period and for example with 50% duty cycle and many pulses. Then do the measurement.

I hope it helps you.

Best regards,

Diana
