I am working for ASIL D project my question is it mandatory to use the challenger watchdog?
If yes, Is there any available example for it, Also Shall it use half or full duplex SPI comm?

Yes, for ASIL D applications, the challenger watchdog is required.

You should use full-duplex mode.
