Hello all,

I am using the S32K1 EVAL BOARD with the S32K148.

I am trying to use the bootloader RAppID BL Tool to flash the application over CAN 0 (PTE4 and PTE5).

I am creating the application file using the Model-Based Design Toolbox (MBDT) in Simulink (C Coder).

I want to use a Vector CANCase (VN1640A) to flash the application.

Now I get this error.

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Markus

Hi @markus_29

Take a look at the community post: RAppID BL Tools for the S32K144. It is mentioned the same error that you are having.

Hi VaneB

My problem is putting the board into Bootloader mode.

I hold the reset button (SW5) and then plug in the USB cable.

Set jumper J22 to 2-3 (Reset switch is routed to openSDA reset line).

I use the S32K148 EVAL BOARD.

Many greetings

Hello Markus,

When you put the OpenSDA into Bootloader mode, this is to allow you to update the OpenSDA firmware. If you program this with the RAppID BL RBF file then it will get stuck in bootloader mode and you will be unable to use the board until you program a valid .SDA file from PEMicro and restore the OpenSDA firmware.

To program the RBF file, you just need to drag the file to the drive letter (while not set for Bootloader mode).

Best Regards,

Mike

Hi @markus_29

If you are getting problems with the bootloader, let me suggest you take a look at the application note S32K1xx Bootloader.
