RTD version of HVBMS project based on S32K358

Hi:

Currently, we develop the bms project based on S32K358 platform, our environment is that

S32DS3.5.14 with RTD3.0.0, source code based on "HVBMS_Integration_Project_0_8_0" project from NXP.

We consider that update the RTD version from 3.0.0 to 6.0.0, it seems that it is not easy to implement.

My question is that do you have new HVBMS_Integration_Project based on RTD 6.0.0 for s32k358 platform? In other words, if we want to update the RTD, do you have any recommendation on this?

Do you have any news if there will be a Non-AutoSAR version of the BMS GEN2 SDK?  We don't plan to use AutoSAR in our project but require BMS GEN2 for newer chipsets.

Hi BillWen,

The following is the information I received from the HVBMS team:

The current HVBMS software (Gen1) and Gen1 SDK (MC33772,MC33774,MC33775) which customer is using, is built on an older RTD version 3.0 and it won’t be updated to newer RTD versions like 5.x or 6.x. The integration with Gen1 BMS SDK components will stay as-is. Although customers can integrate them into newer RTD if they like as we dont see any major blocking point.

Gen2 SDK will be migrated to RTD 6 in BMS release v1.0.0 somewhere in Q1'26

BMS SW does put any restriction on RTD versions

Last time you mentioned that "Gen2 SDK will be migrated to RTD 6 in BMS release v1.0.0 somewhere in Q1'26", is there any update for this information?

Due to we want use new SBC FS27 in our project, but there is no driver in RTB 3.0.0, we will consider to update our RTD version to maybe 5.0 or 6.0 for fulfill FS27.

The following information I obtained from the BMS team: BMS GEN2 SDK AUTOSAR 4.4 R21-11 Version 0.9.1 CD05 and BMS GEN2 SL SDK AUTOSAR 4.4 R21-11 Version 0.9.1 CD05 will be available next week . This supports RTD 6 integration.

Another question, is there MC33772, MC33774 or 33665TPL MCAL component included by RTD version 6.0.0? Otherwise, we would need to use a driver layer to implement this, which would be very difficult I think.

I clicked on the BMS GEN2 SL SDK DEMO AUTOSAR 4.4 R21-11 Version 0.9.1 and viewed SW32K3_BMS_GEN2_SDK_4.4_R21-11_0.9.1_D2506_Release_Notes.pdf.

The MC33772C is not included in the section 3.3 Supported derivatives.

Given that the HVBMS software (Gen1) SDK won’t be updated to newer RTD versions like 5.x or 6.x, your understanding is correct.
