Hi,
The following sentence comes from the UJA1169A datasheet:

2.7 System control and diagnostic features
Watchdog period selectable between 8 ms and 4s supporting remote flash programming via the CAN bus

Please refer to the attached png file.

I don't understand how to support remote flash programming via the CAN bus?
Is it means that I can config the NWP(Nominal Watchdog Period of Watchdog control register) via other  devices on CAN bus?
Please help me explain it,thanks!

Best regards,

Fedora

Hi,

No, it says that the UJA1169A allows to set a long watchdog period up to 4s so that the microcontroller can quite easily be flashed via the CAN bus, basically without having to consider the integrated watchdog.

Oh, I understand it now.

Setting a long watchdog period that can quite easily upgrade the MCU firmware via the CAN bus.

Thank you, Tomas !
