gPTP example not running on S32g399

Hello,

I have built gPTP_S32G_1.1.0 with:

S32 RTD version SW32G_RTD_4.4_5.0.0_QLP03_D2505 S32G
PFE MCAL driver PFE_DRV_MCAL_S32G_RTM_1_6_0_D2505
S32G PFE Firmware PFE-FW_S32G_1.11.0

I ran make generate and then make which created elf in /output_AED-E_RDB3
I have loaded this elf as a project from executable in S32 DS which created a DEBUG_RAM configuration.

I have noticed that the application does not go beyond  and Mcu_GetPllStatus() call in DriversInitialization(). Upon pausing the execution I found out that the execution is stuck on PLL lock in Clock_Ip_CompletePlldigRdivMfiMfnSdmenSsscgbypSpreadctlStepnoStepsize()

I have made no changes of my own other than fixing the makefile to pick correct paths. It built without errors and I just flashed it with S32 Debugger.

Please let me know how to fix this and how to validate gPTP application in AED-E mode. Thanks,

I am using a GLDBOX3: https://www.nxp.com/part/S32G-VNP-GLDBOX3

If there are changes required to get this application run on this board then please describe those changes that I can try. Alternatively if there is an application note to adapt the gPTP application for this board, that should also work.

Could you try to use IVT Image or the .cmm file for your testing?

Hello @Joey_z 

We don't have a lauterbach debugger and only use the S32 debug probe, which works fine with our other applications on this board. I notice that the cmm is clearing sram sectors, if this is the issue then can you please let me know how to do the same with s32 debug probe?

The example does not create an IVT, but and elf that we are directly trying to flash using DEBUG_RAM configuration.

I did not make any changes to the application, only updated the makefile to enable build on my machine.
