I am using the S32G-VNP-RDB2 development board and I would like to test the serial boot. Can you tell me how to proceed?

Hello, @LB666

Thanks for the feedback and clarification.

So you may consider the serial RCON, is it right? What is your exact question regarding to it?

You may reference the  detailed information in “31.3.2.2.2 Boot from serial RCON“ from S32G3 Reference Manual for this topic.

Hello, @LB666

Thanks for the question and sorry for the delay

Serial Boot mode enables application code to be downloaded to SRAM.

On S32G2, CAN and UART could be used to support serial boot.

  1. Firstly, set the switches:

  1. Secondly, create serial boot images using IVT tools

You may reference the following link:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/S32G/How-to-create-an-image-for-serial-boot/td-p/1716703

  1. At last, transfer the generated image to the board via UART.

The details are shown from the link below:

Hope it helps.

Thank you for your reply. This is not the answer I wanted. Perhaps I did not describe my problem clearly. Now, I am redefining my problem and would like to know how to start it on the S32g vnp rdb2 development board through serial EEPROM (at24c02)
