Processor S32G274AABK0VUCT PWM Output channels

Hi,

The currently selected model for our application is S32G2 is S32G274 (Part No : S32G274AABK0VUCT).

The application requires a minimum of 12 PWM output channels, Duty Cycle 10% to 90% and individual channel variable frequency.

Q1 : The No of PWM output channels can configure of S32G274AABK0VUCT?.

Hi,

At this moment, S32G2 platform has 2 FlexTimer Modules (FTM) for which each one can handle up to 6 outputs. This should handle 12 independent PWM signals in regards of the Duty Cycle. As for the Frequency of each PWM channel, given there are only 2 FTM's, there should only be 2 possible frequencies (one for each FTM).

In Summary, each FTM can only handle 1 fixed frequency, but each of its channels can vary the Duty Cycle independently from each other [Figure 300, Page 2012, S32G2 Reference Manual, Rev. 6, 11/2022].

We need >12 PWM/FTM channels for our application, those should be interfaced with S32G274AABK0VUCT.

We are looking for PWM/FTM expanders to interface with S32G274AABK0VUCT via SPI/I2C/.....

Do you have any suggestions for PWM/FTM expander IC's from NXP !
