Hi, does S32 Design Studio support Segger J-Link or even IAR I-Jet?
If so, is there any special procedure to add the support for these devices?
Thanks in advance
Hello Robson,
IAR debugger Eclipse plug-in will be supported by the new project wizard in S32 Design Studio for ARM v1.3 which should be released by the end of this November.
when the plug-in is installed restart S32 Design Studio and the new project wizard should offer IAR build tools and IAR debugger options:
Now if you build the project and go to the available debug configurations you can see IAR C-SPY config:
and it offers following devices (I-Jet is supported) :
Debugger session running directly on eclipse has some additional features in contrast to e.g. Pemicro/Segger GDB:
FYI: will publish the release announcement on the community so you should get notified as soon as it is officially released.

Stan
Hi Lutz,
Thanks for your comment.
I forgot to mention you have to install IAR Embedded Workbench before you start plugin installation.
In order to use IAR eclipse plug-ins in S32 Design Studio you need to have IAR Embedded Workbench installed on your machine.
You can start with the evaluation version: IAR Embedded Workbench
Hope it helps.

Hi,
Only S32 Design Studio for ARM version 1.2 supports PE Micro GDB server and also Segger J-link GDB server. While you are creating a project, you can choose the GDB server you want to use in project wizard. See figure below.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to write me back.

Martin
Hi,
you can also use iSystem and Lauterbach. Look at the following manual, chapters 6.3 and 6.4.

Hi Martin, thanks for your replies.
Could you please confirm if there're plans to also support IAR I-jet? That's customer preferred option so just checking before give them the current supported options.
IAR Debugging and trace probes
