Hello,
In my projects I am using MC9S12XEP100 . I am using Processor expert mode.
What is the maximum size of code I can compile?
Is it possible to use code more the 64K without any additional modifications?
What are the diffrences between
1.C compiler and C source-level debugger–code and data size restricted to 64 KB
and
2. C compiler and C source-level debugger for our XGATE module—code and data size restricted to 512 KB.
Hello,
I would like to add a description from the RM v.1.25.
"The MC9S12XE-Family features an enhanced version of the performance-boosting XGATE co-processor which is programmable in “C” language."
The reduced code size for the Basic Suite means that the HCS12(X) code and data size restricted to 64K and XGATE code and data size restricted to 512 bytes
For Standard and Professional suite is "Unlimited C compiler and C sourcelevel debugger for HCS12, HCS12X and XGATE"
Best Regards,
Diana
Hello Mandar,
The C compiler and C source-level debugger–code and data size depend on which CodeWarrior license do you use (Free/Basic/Standard/Professional).
Please, take a look at the document below and at the S12(X) column:
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/fact-sheet/950-00437.pdf
The useful information for you can be that the CodeWarrior Evaluation license is based on the Professional Suite, but is time-limited usually 30 - 45 days. After that, it is a Special Edition (Free Tool).
I hope it helps you.
Best Regards,
Diana
