Hello!

I have to measure temperatures with my controller. I use a HCS12 MC9S12DJ64 contoller.
One alternative is to measure with the Dallas DS1621 Digital Thermometer over I2C. I´m an absolut newbie Sad and I need your help to configure the protocol and to design the schematics.
Perhaps the I2C protocol is written and I can use it for free?? Wink
I want to program the controller in C with the ICC compiler.
Greetings

If you download the free special edition of codewarrior you can use the "processor expert" to create the init code for the IIC module. Then use either CW or ICC to develop your app.

Sorry, which free special edition do you mean?
I was on the Metrowerks download page. I just found the Developer studio, OSEKturbo and CodeWarrior for Freescale 68HC12/HC(S)12 Encirq Data Expert! I don´t know the right software package.
