HI i am working on serial monitor program of freescale AN2548 APPLICATION NOTE.I am not able to type anything in hyperterminal.

Is the "Echo typed characters locally"  enabled ?

This can be enabled in  Hyperterminal under

File > Properties ->Settings in the ASCII Setup menu.
