We have a situation in our software, need to detect SCI port is grounded i.e. "RX pin is pulled low from external environment".
How would I know, whether received data is 0 or RX pin is grounded?

Hi Vicky,
I think you can use the Bit Error Detection functions to check the state of RX pin. (if you have SCI V5)
Please look at two bit BERRV in the SCIASR1 register. It might help u solve your problem.

Controller used is HCS12X. Is there any way to identify SCI error - "Short to GND" and/or "Short to VBATT" conditions?
