S12ZVL enable debugging in Full stop mode

Hi Team,

I have put the S12VL micro in Full stop mode using Stop instruction, after executing stop instruction loosing the debugger control.

Currently I am using PE debugger, let me know how to keep BDM mode active after execution of Stop instruction.

Hello,

After our discussion in a support ticket I would like to add some points here:

If you need to verify that you are in Full stop mode you can check the Bus clock. Since the Bus clock is stopped in Full-Stop mode, you can monitor the bus clock as ECLK provided ECLKCTL[NECLK] = 0.

In Full-Stop Mode the external oscillator and the oscillator clock monitor are disabled and unfortunately, I didn't find a way to debug the code by PE multilink interface in the Full-Stop Mode.

However, after MCU is awake from stop mode, you can go to Debug Configuration and select "Attach" as debug session type and click on "Debug".
