Replacements for 68HC812A4CPV8

Here at the Air Force Academy we have been using an old Evaluation board HC12A4EVB for a number of years. We are getting ready to replace them with soomething newer but until we do I am in need of a replacement for the microprocessor chip (68HC812A4CPV8) Is there a current replacement? Or do I need to look for replacements on line? I am looking for 20 new chips.

Hello Mike,

There a learning kit based on the MC9S12C32.

That technology is much more recent. The code is compatible but core is faster and peripherals improved.

There are also other kits on other cores.

I forgot an important point. There is a University Program or Relation Council or any other nice name depending on the location.

That is a way for universities not to have to pay full price when they partner with Freescale.

I thought that was a significant point.
