Question Regarding VSUP pin implementation in Magni V

I am using 'MC9S12ZVHY' series MagniV Microcontroller. Need to monitor the Analog voltage range from 0 to 5 V.

I am using the VSUP pin for this purpose which can be routed to internal ADC through an Internal Voltage Divider.

The VSUP pin has following characteristics :

i Am confused with the above mentioned Condition " 5.5V < VSUP < 29 V" .

My Question is:

Can i use the VSUP pin as internal ADC to Measure analog voltage from 0 to 5V Range?

Please help me on this issue.

Thanks

Kunmit

Hello Kunmit,

The VSUP voltage is divided by 9 (+- 5% max error) and this is what the ADC can measure.
However, it can’t measure in the whole range of VSUP (Table I-1, #1, S12ZVHY RM), It is limited to 5.5V < VSUP < 29V.

Meaning that if, for example, VSUP = 4V, the ADC result would be higher as if VSUP was 5.5V.

Regards,
Daniel
