Problem connecting to HCS12X board using a Processor Expert project through serial monitor

We are encountering errors when debugging.  We're only using the asynchronous bean, AS1-AnsynchroSerial.  The error generated is "CommError: 00000008 =  CE_FRAME; InQue: 5, OutQue: 0".  Any ideas as to what may be causing this or typical scenarios that generate this error?

We are pretty sure that the problem are based on the CPU settings and we're wondering if anyone knows the correct CPU settings for ProcessorExpert to work?
