NEED HELP: I can not set any mode in MC9S12XHZ512

as the title, when i want to set the MC9S12XHZ512 to mode "Emulation Expanded", the pin MODEB is always low. Even i connect this pin to VCC whit a 4.7k resistance, it dosen't work. I have no choice but to find help here. If anyone can give me some advice, whether it uesful or not, thanks a lot

Could you explain what for do you need emulation expanded mode for?

You pulled MODB high, but MODB is low. This can be so if 1) on PCB MODB is connected directly to VSS, 2) MCU is executing some program that makes MODB pin driven low, 3) MODB pin is damaged, 4) different packages have different pinouts. Are you sure you are pulling MODB pin high?
