Hello All,
Thank you in advance.
I would like to if the S12ZVMBA family devices are compatible with LIN 2.0 , LIN2.1 and LIN 2.2A standard.
In the MC9S12ZVMB-Family reference manual [Rev. 1.5], it is mentioned that the LINPHY is Compliant with LIN physical layer 2.2 specification.
Request to inform if backward compatibility is possible and whether 2.2A is supported

Hi,
Versions of LIN standard 2.2 and 2.2A has the same issue date and there is no change in the functionality point of view.
The report is attached. (A different device is mentioned but the module of the LIN peripheral is the same and report is valid also for your device)
Yes it is backward compatible.
The LIN test report says:
Test Method / Test Requirement LIN Conformance Test Specification
Performed Tests and References 1 LIN OSI Layer 1 – Physical Layer
For LIN devices with Rx and Tx access
For the LIN Physical Layer Specification
Revision 2.2 (Dec. 31th, 2010)
LIN OSI Layer1 Physical Layer for LIN Specification 2.2
Version 2.2
Best regards,
Ladislav
