Hi,

I wanted to ask if pins of DDR3 RAM devices can be directly connected with the pins of T1042 processor. Do we need any device in between them for the purpose of voltage compatibility or will it work fine otherwise? Please let me know about it. Thank you!

You are going wrong direction.

The processor normal operation is guaranteed only when the Data Sheet requirements are fulfilled.

T1042 does not support DDR3 SDRAM.

DDR3L SDRAM pins have to be directly connected to the T1042 SDRAM interface when GVDD=1.35V

But the datasheet of DDR3L RAM (8Gb Micron) mentions that its maximum I/O voltage is 1.98V whereas maximum I/O voltage of T1042 is 1.48V. Won't it make them incompatible?

Why you compare maximum voltages?

The DDR3L should be able to work at 1.35V.

I am talking about the I/O pins. DQ pins for instance. If voltage on any of them exceeds beyond 1.48V(maximum that processor's DDR controller pins can accept) won't it harm the processor?

Can you please tell me a harmless way of interfacing SDRAM device with T1042? Thank you!
