Hi Val,

Thanks for your reply, I have set the u-boot parameters already as mentioned in the document. It looks their is some problem with the Ethernet communication, below are the u-boot settings used on my T1040 RDB board, I have attached the u-boot parameters and output of the TFTP commands executed. I am not able to ping the IP address itself. Please guide me on this.

Hi Prashanth,

I assume that 192.168.0.24 is your Linux host ip. I have a few ideas for you :

1. Did you try to work/use/donwload file from your host machine with different client machine ? I mean not from target board.

2. How many Eth ports you have on your target board ?! Did you try to use another ports ?

When your tager board is up with default img files try to run the next CLI command :

1. ifconfig -a

You should see print-out something like this :

Hi Val,

Thanks for your response. I don't have Linux image on my T1040RDB board, only option is to use U-boot. I have tried with ETH0, ETH1 and ETH2 since u-boot supports only this three Ethernet ports. I have tried with different client machines, I use windows and Linux and on both the machines the status is same. I had also tried on another machine running Windows 7 but still the status remains same. I don how to proceed further on this particular problem.

Best Regards

Actually i have faced the same issue over t1040d4rdb board with my ubuntu host machine.  Please follow the following steps to setup the tftp at host and at board properly.

1. Stops the board boot process in uboot stage by pressing any key

2. Configure the host machine network setting (refer attached doc)

Check link status using "# ping <host ip>" . If board replied "Link is active" proceed further

3. Now setup the tftp settings on host machine. Please note that the address of tftp server location at host must be "/srv/tftpboot" (follow the steps at page 21 and 22 of attached doc)

4. Now copy all the images to server location mentioned above.

5. Execute the tftp commands from board, now it will successfully linkup the host and download the files to the board specified location.

Thanks
