Hi all,

       I have designed board with MPC8309 processor,I have chosen Rest configuration source is CFG "0000" boot from(NOR FLASH-S29GL256P) while trying to program using USB code warrior tool it is showing initialization failure. What could be the problem please help me.

It is a must for the processor to acquire valid RCWs during power-on reset to make CodeWarrior debug connection possible.

There are two approaches:

1) Select a default RCWs option corresponding to the designed clocking mode - refer to the MPC8309 PowerQUICC II Pro Integrated Communications Processor Reference Manual, 4.3.3.3 Default Reset Configuration Words

2) Use CodeWarrior RCW override technique - refer to the C:\CW_PA_v10.5.1\PA\Help\PDF\Targeting_PA_Processors.pdf, 8.2 Using a JTAG configuration file to override RCW
