Running CW 10.1 with latest updates.  When I use the new project wizard to create a new project for a K10 processor the processor expert sits at 50% then times out.  Here is the message from the console:

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,

PEx one-time needs to update its databases after installing each SP (updating of cdb files) and in case you start creation of new project during this action it could lead to the behavior as is described.

To avoid the problem please follow one of the steps below (A or B):

Option A:
Restart your CW and wait till all progress bar stop running. After that please continue with creation of a new project.

Option B:
1 - Close CW
2 - Run PEsrv.exe manually from the following folder: {CodeWarrior}/MCU/ProcessorExpert/
3 - Wait till it will not allocate any CPU resources
4 - Start CW

This behaviour should be imrpoved in CW V10.2.

Vojtech,

Tried both options and got the same error as before.  Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Could you please give us more details on your configuration to allow reproducing the problem?

- What operating system are you using ? (windows version, 32 or 64 bit, language etc.)

- What servicepacks have you applied to the CodeWarrior ?

- Have you installed the CW and servicepakcs with administrator rights ?

I'm sorry, but I haven't reproduced the problem. Maybe there is somehing corrupted in your installation.

I recommend trying to install a clean installation to different location:

#1 – Installation of CW V10.1

#2 – Installation of PE update 1.0.1 for CW V10.1 (installation process must end with restart of CW)
