I want to find a Gate Driver IC for our 240V Motor Controller with a maximum rating to the input side of the inverter is 270V and 200A


Our Motor Controller design is based on the MCSPTE1AK144 DEV KIT[https://www.nxp.com/design/development-boards/automotive-motor-control-solutions/arm-based-solutions...

This dev kit uses the MC34GS3000 gate driver chip[https://www.nxp.com/products/power-management/motor-and-solenoid-drivers/bldc-h-bridge-stepper/3-pha... which is not suitable for the voltages we are working with.


We want a Gate Driver compatible with our voltage and current ratings. The GD3000 has clock ports and serial communication ports which are compatible with NXP’s MATLAB Simulink Blocks. We want a gate driver which has the same amount of compatibility as GD3000 with MATLAB.

I am sorry, but we do not have any single-channel nor three-phase gate driver ICs suitable for your application.

The supply input to our inverter is a maximum of 270V DC at 100A (Not 200A as aforementioned)

Our High Side Source Terminal (Vs) is at about 240v. So , in order to turn on our MOSFETs, we need our High Side Gate Drive Terminal (Vg) to be atleast at 243.5 V, in order to have a Vgs= Vg- Vs of >=3.5V. Hence, we are looking for compatible Gate Drivers (Either Single- Channel or Three-Phase Drivers), with serial communication ports and MATLAB Support.

Hi,

I am not sure I understand correctly what are your requirements.

What gate current and voltage capability does your application require? If the GD3000 does not meet your needs, I am afraid we cannot offer other 3-phase gate driver ICs.

In the recent years we focused primarily on advanced single-channel, galvanically isolated gate drivers for SiC MOSFETs & IGBTs such as the GD3100 or GD3160.
