Dear all.

Q1)

We intend to use both Dual Channel LIN Transceivers in master mode as depicted in the application diagram in the datasheet, which suggests connecting a diode and a 1k resistor between LIN & Vbat.

However, would there be any issue if we share the diode and resistor for dual-channel use? If so, could you please explain the reason?

Q2)

Similarly, we'd like to inquire whether there would be any issues if we use Dual TVS diodes instead of individually connecting ESD protection diodes to the LIN bus.

Thank you.

1: No,you can see each channel has independent open drain if connected them together they will affect each other.

2:You can refer to below picture recommend part for external ESD protection.

Thank you for your response.

Q1) So, you're saying that even if we connect each pull-up resistor individually and share the diode, it could still be affected. Is that correct?

Q2) The TVS diode you recommended is a single type. Would there be any impact on its protective function if we connect the same spec dual type?

Thank you.
