Hello,
The MWCT1000 datasheet states the following in section 3.5 Dynamic Input Power Limit:
"When Tx is powered by a limited power supply, such as USB power, WCT1000 can limit the Tx output
power and provide necessary margin relative to the input power supply capability... The input voltage level for DIPL control can be configured in the WCT1000 example project."
Question: Where in the WCT1000_A11_V3.3 example project is the input current limit defined?
I have tried setting IN_CURR_HIGH_TO_LIMIT to 500 and the MWCT1000 is still pulling 2+ amps. Our goal is to limit the input current into the MWCT1000 to 1 amp or less based on our power supply capabilities.
Thanks,
Derek
Hi,
This is wireless charging team reply:
"
The Dynamic Input Power limitation function is to stop response to the positive CEP from the PRX, input voltage level will be detected and can be configured by customer.
But please notice PTX can only guess that power supply reach the limitation, but didn’t have the ability to limit the input current of power supply, and the receiver still can drive more power.
"
Hope it can help you
