Hi!
Is there a recommended method or tool available to perform fault injection testing on the TPL interface?
Hi,
I'm working for the same company as andersagnvall.
When I look at the description of the TPL sniffer it only lists TPL2 devices as supported. We will also use newer TPL3 devices (MC33775). Will this TPL sniffer be able to sniff TPL3 messages?
I see that the TPL sniffer uses the MC33664 chip internally to sniff the TPL bus. Is that chip able to send and receive TPL3 messages?
Best Regards,
Ove Nystås
Hi,
I would highly appreciate your feedback on my above question. This topic has a major impact on our verification strategy.

Hi Anders,
We are having internal discussions about this, we see the benefit for customers, but the development of such a tool is not planned at this point.
Best regards,
Tomas
Ok, thanks for the quick reply!
Are there future plans for it?
Hi Anders,
We have the TPL sniffer to monitor the traffic on the bus, but no tool to inject faulty TPL messages on it at the moment.
Best regards,
Tomas
Hi again!
Do you have any recommendations on how to verify fault detection on the TPL bus? I see a problem performing safety verification if we cannot emulate faulty messages on the bus.
Best regards,
/ Anders
