We didn't change any of the settings as the box arrived.

Is there anything that needs to be modified to have the SATA disk working ?

This is caused by the board configuration RCW problem, the default RCW in the shipped P2041RDB is rcw_14g_1500mhz.bin which doesn't support SATA. Please use RCW RR_PH_0x19/rcw_5g_1500mhz.bin which includes SerDes protocol 0x19 to configure the board to use SATA.

You could find RCW images in the prebuilt images ISO, and flash RCW in the alternate bank on P2041RDB.

Hello lianying,

Please create a separate thread to describe your problem in more details, do you use NOR Flash boot, do you update images in the alternate bank? Please provide u-boot log and your operating steps.

Thanks,

Yiping

Hi Yipping,

While using command "cpld reset altbank" and normal boot - both shows message as below, hence experiencing the same problem even after changing RCW file.

"Board: P2041RDB, CPLD version: 4.1 vBank: 1"

I would like to boot from alternate bank, Could you give the the hardware switch settings to boot from alternate bank.

Thanks & Reg,

SW2[2] is the switch that set the NOR flash bank:

Select NOR flash bank

OFF: Bank0 is used for booting

ON: Bank1 is used for booting

Hi Yiping, thanks much for your reply. I will give this a try and let you know.  Is RCW RR_PH_0x19/rcw_5g_1500mhz.bin file available somewhere else other than the CD. I am now in another location. Can I download the ISO ?

Thanks

Hi Yipping, just tested rcw_5g_1500mhz.bin and seems to enable SATA. Thanks
