sd host controller driver for reading a linux image on a mx31 PDK board

Hi all,

I intend to boot linux off SD card on the mx31 3stack board. I hope this can be done by adding custom logic to U-boot/Redboot. But this would require a MMC/SD driver along with the host controller driver.

Is  there a readymade driver in Uboot/Redboot to do this.  Would this minimal driver support reading linux uImage off the SD Card. If then how

You need to have MX31 silicon version TO2.0.1 in order to boot from SD/MMC.

There is Redboot support for booting from SD/MMC on MX31 (TO2.0.1) on Redboot 200841 and later versions. There is also a pre-built image that can boot from from SD (mx31_3stack_redboot_mmc.bin).

You can use ATK to flash this image into SD card.
