Hello everyone.

I am looking for information about the longevity of the MC9S08SE8CWL microcontroller and I found that the longevity assigned to this microcontroller has expired (Nov 2018), but when searching for information about this microcontroller in the page indicates that the status is active. What does this mean? I understand that if the longevity has expired the product would no longer be manufactured.

I would appreciate the help.

Yes, you don't have to worry.

After that date, this does not mean that the part will be discontinued immediately because this part's longevity will be market and customer-driven. There is no End of life date settled yet as the part is still in active status. Will depend on customer's demands

Once the discontinuation notice is out you will have 6 months to purchase the product
