imx8mp gadget mode strange behavior

Hi All,

Processor : imx8mp ( NXP_MIMX8ML8DVNLZAB )
Kernel version : 6.6.36

We are working on product based on imx8mp processor. In which I observed strange behavior with typeC gadget mode.

• I insert USB pendrive in my unit which detected as /dev/sda1, when I connect typec from unit to PC and it detect this pendrive in PC and I can see content of pendrive connected in my unit in the PC. It is working without inserting g_mass_storage.ko (this driver not builtin also)
• But instead of using pendrive if I use SD card (/dev/mmcblk1p1). Doesn't matter what configuration I use but it's doesn't work. 

Any suggestion or pointers for this problem will be very helpful as we are at very crucial stage of development.

Hi @jemish_1990 

I don't see such issue on i.MX8MP EVK + 6.6.y.

The mmcblk1p1  can be read on PC with sdcard reader before i insert it on board. Then i insert sdcard and use below command. Then same partition can be mounted in Windows.

modprobe g_mass_storage file=/dev/mmcblk1p1 removable=1
