1.PTN3460BS is used by customers as eDP to LVDS, and LVDS display failure occurs when the machine is repeatedly switched on and off

2.When the LVDS display fails, the HPDRX level is low

if the HPDRX is low, it means, the initialization has not completed.

After the failure, I would recommend to do a power-up reset, so the internal registers will be initialized. Please refer to the AN11489.

if you have finished the power up sequence before you turn of the PTN3460BS. How quickly to do you turn-on and turn-off the machine? And how many times, do you turn-on and turn-off the machine before the fault happened?

Its possible, that the PTN3460BS is set to Deep power-saving state.

Please confirm how you have connected the PD_N pin. Please share your schematic with voltage levels and part values.

3.HPDRX first pulls up for 59ms followed by a sustained low level.

I don't see a reason for the PTN3460 occasional fault behavior. I have contacted an application engineer dealing with PTN3460 components for an advice. So far I haven't received an answer from him. As soon as I receive one, I will definitely reply to you. Thank you for your patience.

please try a recommendation from the application engineer.

DESCRIPTION

Please ask customer to remove R673 (0 hom) on board (PD_N pin only has 10Kohm pull-up), and test again to see whether issue can be resolved.
