The debugger to work with NXP Processors

Dear NXP Team,

We are having the custom boards housing multiple variants of NXP Processors namely, MPC864x, QorIQ T/P series, Layerscape series. Can you recommend a common debugger which can work with all the processor architectures?

Checked the CW-TAP - https://www.nxp.com/design/design-center/development-boards-and-designs/CW_TAP - but its not having the MPC864x and QorIQ P-series as per the supported devices list shown.

the CW TAP (CWH-CTP-BASE-HE) supports all the mentioned processors.

Based on the link - https://www.nxp.com/design/design-center/development-boards-and-designs/CW_TAP : the PPC - MPC864x series like MPC8640/MPC8641 is not shown on the page. Can you clarify on this processor set?

It isn't mentioned but the USB TAP CWH-CTP-BASE-HE with CWH-CTP-COP-YE Probe Tip could be used with MPC864x processors.

Hi,

When the Code warrior tool is installed, the MPC8640 is not found in CW versions v10.4.0, v10.5.1. Please let us know if we need to enable any additional patches/updates. Shared the snapshots of processors of both versions.

It is because MPC864X is not supported by Code Warrior for Power Architecture IDE, it is supported in CodeWarrior 8.8 (IDE 5.9).
