SJA1105 without Host Processor

Hello,
If I understand the datasheet correctly, the SJA1105 Ethernet Switch requires a host processor to load the configuration. This means that I cannot operate the device in a default mode without a processor connected to the SPI port. Did I understand that correctly?

Hi,

yes, SJA1105 will not be functional, until the static configuration is successfully loaded via SPI.
