S32 Debug Probe Run/Pause LED is red

I have the S32 Debug Probe connected to the S32V234 SBC evaluation board. Sometimes when I restart the board, the Run/Pause LED on the Debuge Probe becomes red.

In this case I can still run codes on the board through S32DS. But should I be concerned? What should I do in this case?

Thank you.

The status indicated by S32 Debug Probe LEDs is explained on page 17 of
S32 Debug Probe User Guide. You can find this document under
S32DS\tools\S32Debugger\Debugger\Docs\ . The path is from your S32DS
installation directory.

Hi @bpe ,

Thank you for your reply.

I saw this page before posting my question. To my understanding, these modes should only change if some change is applied to the target board (for example: running a program on one of the cores of the board), right?

But I noticed that if the debug probe is restarted (turned off then turned on again) while keeping the target board as it is, this can change the mode from Run to Pause. Is this normal? And does this mean I can't run a debug session then?

Also how can I change the mode of the target board from Pause/Mix to Run?

Best regards,

Ahmed Gheith
