RF POWERTOOL 1000 display

Hi,

I received a #RFPOWERTOOL 1000 last week. I installed the USB driver in a WIN10 NB and checked the device manager successfully. After start the RF Power tool program, the program passed the serial port at #4. However,  The log showed "timed out message getting the IDN" and I was not able to see any display menu on the LED screen. Is this Ok? How can I get access to the menu items?

I believe Windows is corrupting the bootloader. There is a fix available from P&E Micro, I'll find it and share the information here.
