PTN3460IBS eDP compatibility question

The PTN3460IBS datasheet states that the part is compliant with eDP 1.1 and 1.2. I'm working with an Intel SOC that supports eDP 1.3. Our BIOS engineer is looking into the backward compatibility of the SOC and BIOS.  I'm investigating the forward compatibility of the LVDS bridge. Can anyone tell me what is known about the forward compatibility of this part?

Can you tell me why eDP 1.3 doesn't work? We are working on getting the eDP specification so that we can explore the differences. In the interim, I still need to ask around. Is there an unpublished firmware update available? I believe that our PTN3460IBS parts ship with F2.

The reason I ask is that this LVDS bridge - SOC combination is known to work. I've seen products that use the pair. So someone knows the secrets of the Fireswamp.
