NXP LS1043A ERP below 7W issue

Hi:

   Our model design is to choose LS1043A as major platform to implement. The whole system is designed as LTE bridge application. The major system block is to choose 2pcs Wi-Fi module of Intel BE200 , 1pcs LTE module and one Ethernet port as 2.5G speed. This platform we design to use 4+1 DDR4 ( 1 for ECC). This model plan to ship world wide, include CE market. 

   Now we find we suffer CE ERP>7W spec issue. Our current system power consumption, include one power adaptor about 9W.  Still need at least 2W power consumption reducing is needed. If anyone with experience this platform suitable for CE market to pass such ERP spec? Or any possible HW or SW method to improve this issue? Especially use SW method, like CPU power saving mode...etc

Confirmed by the internal team, please only use FM1-MAC3 and FM1-MAC4 as the source of WoL, thanks

Thanks for your reply and suggestion. Indeed, currently we study to use WoL method or Internal RTC FTM-Alarm method to reducing system power consumption. But we suffer once use commend to sleep, but can't wake successful. Use NXP EVB to apply same method and commend, it seems work normally. Compare it, we find RTC method, NXP EVB work is due to it specific RTC pin get wanted 32KHz frequency from CPLD circuit. But our model didn't keep same design without this 32KHz source into specific pin. We just design external RTC function for our model. We debug to modify code to let the clock source internal 400MHz system clock, our device wake up success. But the sleep time is to short not as expect. Now we change direction to study WoL method. HDK okay, but our model is failed under debug. Attach EVB and our model correspond logs.

If WoL is acceptable for your use case, it may enable a lower-power networked standby mode and help meet the power target. Would that work for you?
