MRFE6VS25NR1 Discoloration/Incomplete Plating

Hi, just want to confirm if the discoloration/incomplete plating on the leads of MRFE6VS25NR1 is normal and acceptable in manufacturing process (please see attached photo). Will it not cause any issue once mounted on board? Thank you in advance!

That product still has the Freescale logo, so I can see that it's a bit old. Although there shouldn't be a noticeable electrical effect on the device, if it's important for its lifespan, I recommend you talk to your distributor to request a replacement part.

Good day! Thank you for your reply. 

You're correct, the parts received are very old (DC1349). I asked for replacement with newer DC (2448), however, some parts still exhibit discoloration/incomplete plating. See attached photo for reference.

Having the same scenario with a newer DC, and the affected area is localized, could this be considered as normal or part of the assembly process?

No, it is not normal, you have to talk to your official distributor to request the warranty until the parts do not present those imperfections.
