[LX2160ARDB]Cannot enter console window

Hi NXP support team,
I met some problem when I tried to upgrade my LX2160 uboot from 20.04 to 21.08.
My NXP power off (due to my mistake) when I key in "sf erase 0x0 +$filesize&& sf write $load_addr0x0 $filesize" to rease old uboot img and load new image.
Then, when I tried to bootup my NPU, I cannot enter the console window.
Are there anyway to solve this problem (reload img through another way)?

You need to the JTAG debugger(HW device) CWH-CTP-BASE-HE and CWH-CTP-CTX10-YE to do the flash programmer. The flash programmer is generally used when the flash is blank or the image is corrupted.

See attachment for the 8.6 Board Recovery which is part of ARMv8_Targeting_Manual, when you install the CodeWarrior in the default path, you will get it from C:\Freescale\CW4NET_v2020.06\CW_ARMv8\ARMv8\Help\PDF\ARMv8_Targeting_Manual.

If you are using LX2160ARDB,  you could check if there is any other boot image to boot into U-Boot, you could change the SW, e.g. LSDK21.08, page 153, Onboard switch options to boot from other flash.

If customer board Flash could be programed by CodeWarrior, please follow steps below:

You could find the user case from C:\Freescale\CW4NET_v2020.06\CW_ARMv8\ARMv8\Help\PDF\ARMv8_Targeting_Manual, page 140, if the customer board support RCW override. If not , please use Hard-Code RCW. Select the flash you used in the "Devices:" in Figure 88. ARMv8_Targeting_Manual, page 140.

If there is any other flashes with image on the customer board, you could change the SW, e.g. LSDK21.08, page 153, Onboard switch options to boot from the flash.

Hi June,

We used can reload uboot img through the guidance LSDK21.08, page 153, but due to some accident, our NXP NPU LX2160 reboot when I erase old uboot img and new uboot haven't been loaded yet which results that I cannot access the console window of LX2160.

For your first scenario, I haven't use CodeWarrior before, how to make sure that CodeWarrior is workable or not? Does it need extra PC applications or HW devices, e.g. need to download some application on my PC and some JTAG connect to NXP?

Besides, how to get the document -  ARMv8_Targeting_Manual?
