Hi Team,

I am going to use MFS8601BMDA0ES SBC/PMIC in my design, from datasheet I came to know that Part numbers ending with A0 OTP code are non-programmed OTP configuration. so, my question is.

1. Is it necessary to do OTP?

2. How to do OTP configuration? is it through i2c?

Hello Santhosh_g,

I hope all is great with you. Thank you for using the NXP communities.

You are correct, the part numbers ending with A0 OTP code are non-programmed OTP configuration.

Have you considered using the KITFS86SKTFRDMEM board? Devices can be easily placed on socket to OTP emulation, functional testing or program OTP (one time programming) fuses when ready. In addition to the OTP programming, the customer can test all features (with power delivery limitation due to the socket). No extra tools or board are needed for FS86 OTP programming.

I hope this information helps.

Regards,

David

Hi,

I am not using  KITFS86SKTFRDMEM board but FS86 is interfacing with S32K3 MCU on board (I hope this may not help in initial programing).

What is other solution for initial OTP programing? And how to manage in mass production line?.

Hello Santhosh_g,

I am pleased to contact you again.

I am afraid that the MCU is not useful for programming the device.

For custom OTP in mass production, I do recommend contacting your local NXP sales representative for further information.

I hope this information will be useful for you.

Regards,

David
