The serial programming of a BDM interface is not something I fully understand, but any BDM driver can not program any BDM interfaced chip. Freescale's advice is either of two $500.00 programmers to get the job done. I was able to procure a P&E USB HCS08/HCS12 Multilink which worked fine loading the .s19 file through the Hiwave of the code warrior software. I had access to a USB mon08 ML 12 as well I am not sure but this may be able to get the job done as well with a bit of interface manipulation 16 pin to 6 pin.
