P&E Micro drivers installed on a Virtual Machine: do they work with TWR-K60N512?

I'm sorry if this is a forum for Coldfire and my post is related to Kinetis, but I couldn't find a better place to write.

I'm using a Windows XP virtual machine running with VmWare Player where I installed latest P&E Micro drivers for OSBDM (downloaded from www.pemicro.com). I installed the same drivers also on the host system (Windows 7).

When I connect TWR-K60N512 through a USB cable, the host system detects it correctly. I try to connect the OSBDM device to the virual machine, but it doesn't work. In the peripheral list I see only Jungo/Windriver node.

Any suggestion?

I connect to a Coldfire with an OSBDM via WinXP running in a virtual machine on Mac and Linux just fine.  The VM is not VMware, I use Parallels. I know as of a couple of years ago, VMWare did not work with the PE Multilink, and Parallels worked better than VirtualBox.  I have also used the OSDBM with VirtualBox successfully, never tried it with VMware, perhaps you could try VirtualBox.

I believe P&E are providing support for osbdm.

You could try their web site

http://www.pemicro.com/support

if you don't get a reply here.

bye
