LEDs are being used increasingly in automotive lighting applications to enable creative design elements, improve system efficiency and support advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). NXP is developing a Matrix LED controller (MLC) IC so customers can address these advanced lighting applications. The MLC IC provides all the necessary functionality to ensure a compact, low-cost and robust design for advanced LED headlights. This new technology enables a three dimensional high-resolution control of the output of a headlight. In this session learn about the key trends and requirements for advanced LED headlighting and understand how the functionality of our MLC addresses these requirements. See the demo for your self!

Participants will use the Sensor Dataloggers from the previous class to gather data representing specific Sensor events and/or signatures. The participants will then use the Sensor Mining and Algorithm Development tool to create some simple algorithms for Accelerometers, Magnetometers, and Gyroscopes. By the end of this hands-on class, the attendees will have gathered Sensor experience using tools to quickly create and test algorithms.

Saving Space in your Reference Design with eSIM. eSIM (eUICC) and what it means for chipset makers and device OEMs. Today consumers want bigger screens, more battery life, more storage, more rich media content etc. The (R) evolution that eSIM will create is unique, disruptive and can be compared to the time when black and white TV went to Color. The OEMs are adopting slowly, but like the days of B&W TV, the networks weren’t ready, and neither are the Mobile operators in the case of eSIM!

This session will cover a number of topics relevant to all IoT systems and presented because of instructor’s involvement with the IPSO Alliance. The overriding goal of this session is to help prepare you to design your IoT system starting with the device, up to the Cloud and all the other required components. This session describes the IP protocols dedicated to IoT because it helps shape the system capabilities. This demo will use MQTT in conjunction with the Amazon AWS IoT service. IoT systems are made of multiple components. The most visible ones are the Cloud/web tools. In the demo, the activities are structured around the IT services that differentiate products. The Cloud services that will be covered in the session included in addition to data storage rules and actions, web visualization, and analytics. The demo code and Cloud accounts will be available to participants.
