This heart rate monitor is based on NXP’s KW41Z, an ultra-low-power BLE-enabled MCU that provides all the capabilities for acquiring, processing and sending data obtained from analog sensors. NXP also offers a battery charger IC, RTC and LED controller for a complete heart rate monitor solution.
The KW41Z is an ultra-low-power, highly-integrated single-chip device that enables Bluetooth® Low Energy connectivity, The KW41 also has a 16-bit ADC for data acquiring and a 6-bit High-Speed Analog Comparator. If needed the KW41Z also hasAES-128 Accelerator (AESA), True Random Number Generator (TRNG) for an end-node secure.
