Hello, I want to build 8 SAM Reader using TDA8026. but TDA8026 only have 5 slots of SAM/Smartcard. is it possible to connect another TDA8026 to build 8 SAM reader? so I use 2 TDA8026 to switch 8 SAM/smartcard.
Please give me some solution about it.

Thanks,
BR
Dani

Hello,

You will need an interface MCU to communicate with each of them.

Also, please make sure that the host you decide to use has at least two of the communications lines to connect with each TDA8026 and be able to connect them.

Hello,

If we use the I2C master from PN7462 for the interface with the TDA8026 (https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/TDA8026.pdf ) I am hoping we can connect two TDA8026s with single PN7462.

Please confirm my understanding based on:

"Using pin A0, two TDA8026s can be used in parallel based on the selection made to the
address selection pin A0. Pin A0 is externally hardwired to the pins VDD(INTF) or GND. The
voltage on the A0 pin sets the bit 2 address bit."
mentioned in the TDA8026 datasheet (page 15/61)
Thanks
Neel.

Hello, Thanks for reply ^ ^

So, If I have a system in pdf file I attach with,.

in that system, I just connect 2 TDA8026 using I2C (SDA, SCL) communication, and also the others connection like IO (IOUC1 and IOUC2), SDWNN, IRQN and CLK (CLKIN1, CLKIN2). I connect two TDA8026 with PN7462 (only 1, the other PN7462 is optional).

is that all possible????
