Hi,

 How about PN7160/PN5180 ?

Can the solution for adding an external PA refer to AN11003? If so, are there any specific recommendations for ISO15693?
Additionally, if the TX power is increased to 6W (1A, 6V), what precautions should be taken when using it with the NTAG 5 Link?

thanks

andy

Hello @andydong1583

Transmitting a power of 6 W from PN7160 or PN5180 through an external PA is an impractical and unfeasible design solution in NFC/HF RFID applications.

Hi @KaiLi

What is the reason? (NFC standard requires less than 7.5 A/m)
1. NTAG 5's La/Lb: 12 A/m; peak value up to 61.87; and maximum La/Lb peak current is +/-168 mA.
2. Usage scenario: the reader is more than 5 cm away from the NTAG 5. Antenna ratio is 10:1.
3. The reader only works with NTAG 5 series tags and does not read other cards.

What about using an external PA to increase the power to 3W (5V, 600 mA)? Is it feasible?

thanks
